'The redevelopment of the former Rhyd Y Car Leisure Centre was much needed within the historic town of Merthyr Tydfil. In it's place stands a brand new facility which the town can be proud of. As part of the development agreement with the local authority, following delivery of the leisure facility land was unlocked in order to provide leisure facilities including a hotel, cinema, restaurants and family pub.
