| When Peter moved to Cardiff, he developed
the general practice and the agency sides of DTZ's business. He was instrumental in the concept and implementation
of the Charles Darwin Shopping Centre in Shrewsbury and subsequently
advised Preselli District Council on the town centre redevelopment
at Haverfordwest. He was retained by Llanelli Borough Council
for assistance on its town centre strategy.
In Merthyr Tydfil, Peter has advised the Welsh Development
Agency on the disposal of a key town centre site, again for
a new shopping scheme, recently opened.
Urban regeneration experience has been gained primarily in
South Cardiff, firstly acting on behalf of Tarmac in 1984
on the 66 acre Atlantic Wharf, mixed use scheme. For many years Peter advised Grosvenor Waterside, ABP's property
arm in respect of the Capital Waterside scheme in Cardiff
Bay. He was involved in negotiating the terms of both the
WHCSA and NCM pre-lets and more recently in securing the Welsh
Assembly for the Waterfront and acting for Wales Millennium
Centre in property matters..
Out of town, he advised on a 120 acre mixed
use development in Malvern anchored by a 55,000 sq. ft. food
store.
In the field of PFI, Peter has advised University of Wales
Swansea on two student housing projects that have been successfully
implemented, for a health authority, in procuring a neighbourhood
hospital through the sale of surplus land and for a local
authority, its new civic offices.
On investment business, he personally handled the sale of
the residue of the BP Property portfolio in South Wales realising
nearly £30m.
Peter was appointed by the Secretary of State for Wales and
was amongst the first independent Governors of the University
of Glamorgan. He is a member of the Investment
Sub-Committee of the Representative Body of the Church in
Wales and was a member of the project board responsible for the
building of the Assembly Building for the Welsh Assembly Government.
